Ombuds Office for the Historic Town of Graz
The Office of the Ombudsman for the Historic Town of Graz has two legal instruments to safeguard public interest in the conservation of the historic town of Graz:
- The Building Authority is required to demand an expert opinion from the Ombuds Office if there are intentions to deviate from an expert opinion provided by the Historic Town Expert Commission.
- The second instrument is the right of appeal against the decisions of the Building Authority to the Administrative Court of Styria.
The Historic Town Expert Commission has to submit an annual activity report to the Styrian Government and the Styrian Parliament.
The mandate of the current Ombudsman for the Historic Town of Graz, ao. Univ.-Prof. Armin STOLZ ends on 28 May 2024. (The ombudsman can be contacted via the office of the Historic Town Expert Commission.)
